Mental Health

As I arise from my death like slumber
The lies awake and the truth becomes outnumbered
My mind cracks from overwhelming deceit
This feeds my compulsion to eat
My unbroken hunger, to have peace of mind
This is my quest, what I wish to find
So, I try my best to go about my day
But the burden gets heavier, the thoughts begin to weigh
Then starts routine the day’s foundation
The cleansing of the soul the mind’s damnation
After the ritual is long last complete
I put on the mask so I can talk and speak
All those who are blind see nothing but lies
All those who can see can spot the prize
The true identity I wish to sheathe
Which when I reveal I calmly breathe
A breath of ecstasy, pure delight
A final release of the day’s pain and spite
At long last I can finally rest
Now that I have completed my quest.
